Asansol Pragati & B.N. Ghaty Blood Donation Camp: A Lifesaving Initiative

The Asansol Pragati and B.N. Ghaty Blood Donation Camp, held annually, took place in February 2025 at Rabindrabhaban, Bianer, Asansol. This significant event aimed to address the critical blood shortage in the region, with the target of collecting over 100 units of blood, which were safely transferred to Asansol District Hospital. The camp was organized jointly by Pragati and B.N. Ghaty, with a special focus on community welfare. Individuals who met specific health criteria and were free from any restrictions were eligible to donate blood. The event was graced by several distinguished chief guests, including Sri Amarnath Chatterjee (Chairman, A.M.C.), Sri Prabir Dhar, Dr. Sri Sanjit Chattapadhya (Asansol District Hospital), and Sri Amitava Mukherjee (renowned lawyer). In addition to blood donation, the program also provided valuable support to the community, including the distribution of wheelchairs and student scholarships, reflecting the holistic approach of the event. This was the 12th edition of the blood donation camp, and it highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Pragati and B.N. Ghaty to support the health and well-being of the Asansol community.
