Swami Vivekananda’s Birthday and National Youth Day Celebration at Rabindra Bhavan, Asansol

The birthday of Swami Vivekananda, observed as National Youth Day, was celebrated on 12th January at Rabindra Bhavan, Asansol. This year, 2025, the program was graced by special guests including Swami Varupananda Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission, Asansol, Sri Tapas Banerjee, MLA of Raniganj, Sri Amarnath Chatterjee, Chairman of Asansol Municipal Corporation, and Pragati member Prof. Dipendu Banerjee. All the dignitaries delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the works and dynamic personality of Swami Vivekananda. As part of the celebration, cheques were distributed to Thalassemia and cancer patients, as well as blind students, and a number of wheelchairs were also provided to those in need, adding a humanitarian dimension to the occasion.
